Sharon created and presented the Meditation for Beginners workshop for the Richmond Teachers Association (RTA) Convention in February 2007. Other workshop experience includes numerous workshops given on her books The History of Rock and Roll and Nok and Juju: Nigerian Art and Music at music teacher conferences in B.C., Ontario and the US National Music Educators Conference in Cincinnati.
As a human rights activist, Sharon has spoken frequently on human rights topics over the past two decades, including the Displaced in Chiapas Workshop she created and delivered at a recent RTA Convention. Sharon has extensive MC experience from organizing and presenting numerous public performances in schools. Recently, she acted as MC for a fund-raising Concert for Chiapas, held in St. Michael’s Church in Vancouver.
